How to use LM foundation stick?

I got LM foundation stick in natural as a free sample. I have 3 questions:

1. How exactly do I use this? I know that we have to draw lines on the face and then spread it evenly. But how much exactly do I need to use? For instance, on the forehead, fully apply it or just 1-2 lines and spread it?

2. Is the stick foundation good and does it stay on for long?

3. I use LM foundation powder no.3. So will natural shade of foundation stick be too light or too dark for me? Otherwise, which shade of foundation stick do you recommend?

1. Here's how I do mine. I draw 1-2 lines across my forehead, 1 line down my nose, 2-3 lines on each cheek and 2 vertical lines on my chin. Then I blend with a foundation brush. If I see a spot that needs to be covered more, I just dab a little more on the spot then blend again. 2. Stick foundation is good for dry skin. If you have oily skin, it won't last 3 hours. 3. A foundation color is supposed to match your skin color. I am a MAC NC35. I wear the stick foundation in Medium which is a tad too dark otherwise a perfect match. I don't use LM foundation powder because No.3 is too light and No.4 is too orange for me. If no.3 is good for you, then I guess Natural is ok too.
